These images are a selection of scenes developed using hand drawn and digital techniques

Beginning as a series of photographs, I became interested in the modest and re-appropriated buildings I found around Melbourne's inner suburbs.    

The sketches are hand drawn either on site or from my own photographs with colour added digitally.

Meet Melvin the sloth.  While he may not be the speediest snorkeller, he does enjoy eating ice-cream and hunting through rock pools.

As a child, The Wizard of Oz was my favourite story.  This Dorothy character was developed to explore a single character responding to a variety of scenarios through movement and facial expressions.

This series of creature illustrations was created as an extension of the style developed in the repeat patterns.  Similar to the pattern characters, each line relates to the next to create simplified and concise shapes.

They were illustrated using only hand drawn graphite and water colours.
